The limiting beliefs I’ve nixed in 2026 (that I didn’t even know I had last year)

The Mindset Shifts That Hit You After You’re Already Successful

If you’re in the mindset world, life coach, therapist, psychologist, hypnotherapist, and you’re not a baby turtle in business, this will likely feel familiar. There is a season that arrives once your business is already working. And suddenly you are swatting away limiting beliefs you did not even know you had. That was 2025 for me. Not because things were failing, but because I was growing. And sometimes the thing you think you need most is strategy, when what you actually need is mindset support, nervous system regulation, and permission to dream bigger.

Quick note: stop waiting for perfect

You do not need a studio to build authority. I hit more than a million podcast downloads recording in my walk-in robe with a Zoom recorder. If you want to start a podcast, start messy. Tech is not the gatekeeper.

The 6 beliefs I dismantled and what replaced them

1) “I need to increase my capacity”

I thought I needed to hold more. More clients, more output, more responsibility. The truth is this. I do not need to hold more. I need to be held more. Support at home. Support in business. Shared mental load. Backup. Systems. A structure where success does not rely on me being everything, to everyone, all the time. My 2026 word is fully supported, because that is how you grow without it costing your nervous system.

2) “Co-coaches mean people get less of me”

This belief ran deep. I never wanted clients to feel palmed off. But I have completely shifted this. Co-coaches can mean better support, not less support. It can mean:
  • Faster response times
  • More expertise across different skill sets
  • Global time zone coverage
  • Continuity if I am sick or offline
Clients do not just want access. They want results. And layered support can help them get there faster.

3) “I’ve hit my number. Now what?”

I reached the income goal I had in mind for years, especially around my wages. Then I had the same moment I recently saw inside the mastermind. Everyone had big goals, and secretly wanted to double them. Sometimes the growth edge is simply asking, what would it look like to want more without pressure, and make it feel doable?

4) “Data tells you to pivot”

Yes, data matters. But here is what I have seen over and over. Sometimes your offer is not failing. You are. Not because you are incompetent, but because you keep chopping and changing:
  • New offer
  • New niche
  • New messaging
  • New launch plan
Sometimes the most strategic move is to stay the course, do the reps, and let consistency build trust. If you need novelty, change the wrapping, not the entire business.

5) “I don’t need coaching if things are steady”

Coaching is not just for scaling or crisis. It is for being held, especially when life is full. I rejoined my mastermind not because I lacked strategy, but because I wanted:
  • Consistency of support
  • Community
  • The third brain effect
Someone said recently, the smartest person in the room is the room. That is what I wanted again.

6) “I can’t compete with the young ones”

I am not competing on pace, trends, or flashy output. I am competing on wisdom. Twenty-year-old energy wins on speed. Wise women win on depth, lived experience, pattern recognition, emotional maturity, and the ability to simplify what matters. That is my playing field now, and it is a powerful one.

Questions to uncover your own hidden limiting beliefs

If 2025 felt like a shedding year, take these into your journal:
  • Where do I secretly want to dream bigger, even double my goal?
  • Where am I trying to hold more instead of being held more?
  • What limiting beliefs do I see in my clients that might be playing out in my business?
  • What am I dismissing with “that won’t work” and have I actually tested it?
  • Am I pivoting because the offer is wrong, or because consistency feels uncomfortable?
